As a Senior Software Engineering Manager in Micron s Advanced Computing and Emerging Memory Solutions group, you will work with the memory industry's leading architecture team on new concepts which will craft the future of computing systems. This role involves technical leadership and management of a team passionate about architectural exploration, definition, and software development for next generation near-data computing systems. This position will manage sophisticated projects involving design of system software, device drivers, operating systems, compilers, and high-performance computing applications. This position is located in Allen, TX

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading software development planning and execution strategy
  • Developing project plans including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and support requirements
  • Defining project goals and timelines, tracking progress, and communicating status
  • Managing team execution against project plans to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables
  • Staffing, mentoring, and developing an outstanding engineering team
  • Working closely with hardware and other design teams to identify and track schedules, dependencies, and issues
  • Presenting project status to management and key partners

Successful candidate for this position will have:

  • Extensive experience developing and supporting production software
  • Experience defining software architecture and managing engineering teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead all aspects of projects, including communicating with stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and to negotiate options at senior management levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of software development processes and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to:

  • Bachelor's or master s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
  • 10 years in software development or similar engineering field
  • 5
    years in managing engineering teams
