Swim Instructor-Mon/Wed Evening

Do you have a passion for Swimming and living a healthy way of life? We are looking for a passionate Swim Instructor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and will help members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. We provide in-house paid training, so although experience is preferred, it is not required. A typical day for a Swim Instructor could include:
Having fun teaching a life skill to our youngest members!
Evaluating members swimming ability to determine the correct swim level
Maintaining the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities
Duties & Responsibilities
Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
Creates an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants
Initiates, develops and maintains positive relationships with participants
Quickly and efficiently responds to member questions, comments, and
Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services
Responds to member questions regarding Life Time's programs, policies
and procedures
Maintains order and safety in swimming areas and assists in enforcing
club and pool policies
Immediately reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse
relating to youth
Education & Experience
Working towards a high school diploma or GED
Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience preferred
One year customer service preferred
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid (preferred)
Red Cross CPR-PR/AED (preferred)
First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire
Complete and Pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
Complete LTU Required Learning before first shift
Complete all LTU courses within first 60 days of hire
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
Ability to swim the major strokes of Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke
and Butterfly
Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationship with members of all ages
Comfortable working with all age groups, including children
Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner
Ability to tolerate loud noises
Firmly but tactfully enforce Life Time policies and procedures
Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
Ability to acknowledge difficult situations and respond accordingly
Self starter, reliable, responsible and dedicated
Ability to make decisions quickly and easily

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
