Qualifications: High school diploma; previous courses in bookkeeping, accounting and/or training involving purchasing, contract administration, office administration or personal computer operations; experience with the use of Microsoft Office, Skyward and/or Ionwave software preferred; any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. NIGP, TASBO or ISM certifications preferred.
Job Description: To provide support services to the districts purchasing and materials management department so as to provide the maximum educational services for the financial resources available.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: Prepares and maintains common files in good order (including purchase order, contract, general and other files). Prepares correspondence, reports, memos, notices and recommendations. Places and receives telephone calls and records messages. Processes and sorts Purchasing Department office mail. Prepares and maintains contract binders and updates contract list. Maintains contract calendar of important dates in the lives of contracts. Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with vendors. Provides liaison assistance between departments and vendors when questions or problems arise. Processes credit applications and tax-exempt forms to vendors. Conducts research on market conditions, product developments and relative merits of products and vendors. Processes P.O.s, distributes via fax, mail or email and sends confirming P.Os to Cooperatives. Analyzes data and prepares reports as needed by supervisory staff which may include information used for budget, benchmarks and market trends. Witnesses bid openings as needed. Represents employer through professional purchasing associations. Maintains vendor database. Processes paperwork for copier and coffee service payments. Performs other duties as the Director may assign.
OTHER INFORMATION: Tasks may involve using a computer, printer, copier, calculator, FAX, and postage machine. The ability to work in a team environment; contribute as a team member and treat co-workers, subordinates and customers with respect. Build professional relationships with internal staff and customers. Offer flexibility and adaptability, especially during times of change. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

SALARY: Paygrade 306, $16.10 - $19.64 hourly rate, commensurate with experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
