Job Description: To help students learn subject matters, skills, and understandings that will lead them toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological growth and maturation. Reports to Principal.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: Observes Professional Code of Ethics of the teaching profession. Directs the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, establishes clear objectives for instruction and communicates these objectives to the students. Employs appropriate instructional methods and materials to meet state objectives through a flexible, creative approach, providing for a continuous learning process for students. Utilizes teaching techniques and classroom strategies to accommodate the various learning styles and modes of students. Assesses the learning needs of individual students and evaluates progress on a regular basis. Provides an atmosphere conducive to the development of the critical-thinking processes. Consults with parents about the academic, personal development and welfare of the students. Performs other duties as the superintendent may assign.
OTHER INFORMATION: Maintains a current program of professional growth by keeping abreast of scholarly products, research studies in the field of teaching, participating in workshops, seminars, professional organizations and/or advanced course work at colleges or universities. Teaches and exemplifies good health and grooming habits, and citizenship. Integrates the teaching of patriotism and respect for our country into subject areas. Promotes a positive attitude toward the learning program. Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

SALARY: Professional Pay Grade 101, $254.01 - $307.49 daily rate, commensurate with experience according to district salary schedule.
