Qualifications: Texas Certification and highly qualified status for NCLB in core subject areas required. Must hold a Masters's Degree in Engineering. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable to the administration.
Job Description: To help students learn subject matter, skills, and understandings that will lead them toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological growth and maturation. Reports to Principal.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: Observes Professional Code of Ethics of the teaching profession. Directs the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, establishes clear objectives for instruction and communicates these objectives to the students. Employs appropriate instructional methods and materials to meet state objectives through a flexible, creative approach, providing for a continuous learning process for students. Utilizes teaching techniques and classroom strategies to accommodate the various learning styles and modes of students. Assesses the learning needs of individual students and evaluates progress on a regular basis. Provides an atmosphere conducive to the development of the critical-thinking processes. Consults with parents and students concerning the academic development, personal development and welfare of the student. Performs other duties as the Superintendent may assign.
OTHER INFORMATION: Maintains a current program of professional growth by keeping abreast of scholarly productions, research studies in the field of teaching, participating in workshops, seminars, professional organizations and/or advanced course work at colleges or universities. Demonstrates personal grooming, good health practices and condut expected of professional personnel. Attends all professional meetings as required. Understands the methods and criteria employed in teacher evaluation. Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

SALARY: Professional Pay Grade 101, $254.01 - $307.49 daily rate, commensurate with experience according to district salary schedule.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
