Standardized eCAM Technical Architect Emerging Technologies Role and responsibilities
Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems on emerging technologies, including hardware and software.
Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems.
Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) within own discipline/specialty area; basic knowledge of other disciplines/specialty areas.
Integrates industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge. Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment/precedent.
Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues.
Develops new concepts/methods/techniques for cross functional emerging technologies initiatives.
Recognizes/pursues alternative methods.
Exercises latitude in determining objectives/approaches to projects. Leads multiple small to medium sized projects and technical breadth.
Job Description:
Lead end to end security design for Project Stream (Next Generation IPTV and OTT video service) including requirements definition, security architecture, risk analysis and mitigation, security testing and strategy and applications security analysis
Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems on emerging technologies, including hardware and software
Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs
Coordinates design and integration of security into overall system including subsystems
Researches and recommends technology/strategy to improve security of overall systems
Represent the security organization and drives security deliverables across the program through collaboration with peer business units
Integrates industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge. Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment/precedent
Develops new concepts/methods/techniques to address security gaps in overall system
Supports testing, planning, problem management, change management and staging of network/security hardware and configurations
Provides specialized technical guidance to others in work area
Participate in identification of root cause analysis, resolution, outage mitigations, testing and implementation of vendor/IT fixes or design changes
Ability to identify, describe and report vulnerabilities and standard remediation activities, to include clear demonstration of risk to clients and executive management
Ability to combine multiple separate findings to identify complex blended vulnerabilities
Ability to convey remediation guidance in accordance with industry best practices
Special Skills
Strong experience with content distribution, IPTV and Over The Top video distribution
Experience with Agile development process
Experience working on large scale projects that span national and international reach
Ability to collaborate in team oriented environment and relay goals/objectives/strategies to executive management and peers
Security Testing Background
Understanding of common software vulnerabilities and how to exploit them
Understanding of common web site vulnerabilities and ability to extrapolate that knowledge to identify deep bugs that scanners would miss
Programming knowledge Python, Perl, Shell, C, Java, HTML/Javascript/HTML5
Ability to effectively leverage commercial and open source security tools
Broad knowledge of Windows, Nix, Networking, Security Devices, Web Servers/Common Middleware, Mobile Operating Systems
Ability to identify and explain testing prioritizations
Ability to analyze proprietary network protocols and leverage that for targeted security testing
Experience with custom protocol/file fuzzing
Hardware security testing reverse engineering, logic analyzers
RF security testing
